General Gripes

Where do I start:

The rent here keeps going up and I'm feeling trapped.

My lease is up in late August. The current leasing company KNOWS everyone here is between a rock and a hard place. All of the  in the area are similar, thanks to the close proximity to Washington D.C. and politics. Month to month is over $2300. Regular rent is $1886, for a one bedroom.

There's no savings to fall back on to pay for a move out.

I need a smaller apartment without stairs, more of an independent living setting with others my age, but not a nursing home. I'm still active and I have my own car.

Maybe I should play the lottery and pray for a jackpot.

My only Son is in Tennessee with his own family and the in-laws to deal with.

I'll figure out something I'm sure, but this minute it feels very, very overwhelming.

Just please pray, chant, dance or something. Thank you all.
