Cough that triggers sneezing

I thought I was the only one that got this! Usually if it's a slight cough then it only tickles my nose, whereas if it's a harsh one it will make me sneeze. The annoying thing is that when I sneeze when I'm sick it makes my throat hurt, so I cough again!

Basically on the rare occasion I'm sick, it becomes an equilibrium of coughs and sneezes.

Yeah this almost always happens when I choke on something. My mom does it too

Nope, never experienced this myself. I wish I did, though... I saw a woman have a coughing fit and then sneeze four times! Mum and aunt did it once too. I don't think I've seen that in anyone else...

I know I already replied to this, but I have a bit of insight into why it happens now: I told a friend (who knows about my fetish) and he said it's because the body is trying to clear the airway and a sneeze is the best way to do so. No clue if that's true or not, but I thought I'd toss that in there.
