Sorry!:::Understanding------Castiel was an Angel of the Lord.Then, the Lord left.Castiel is now an Angel of Himself.Even though God left he still does not understand humankind.He can not fathom how they can kill without regret or love without thought.He wants to understand.Sometimes he wishes he were human, just to understand.But Castiel does not want to fall, or whatever angels do now that God is gone.Lucifer fell; he is back in his cage now.Anna fell; she is dead.No, Castiel does not want to fall, but he does want to understand.So, he goes to his human friends, the Winchesters.Crowley calls them his pets yet every demon alive knows their name.He disappears with a flap of his wings.When Castiel arrives he is startled to find both Dean and Sam asleep.They do not look well; ill is the word.Just another thing he does not understand about humankind.However, he does know how to treat sickness.Dean's face is flushed with fever, he thinks.He wets a towel he finds in the bathroom and places it on Dean's forehead.Dean stirs to the touch and Castiel can see a sliver of green."Cas?"Something stirs inside of him.It's warm and feels good, in a way, but it's a strange feeling so, he pushes it away."Yes, Dean?"It confounds him; how the greatest demon slayer of all time is so helpless against an illness."...nothin'. Thanks."There is the warm feeling again. He embraces it this time.He tends to Sam before he leaves.Castiel may not have found God.He may be working with a demon.But, finally Castiel understands. I love the way you describe how Castiel thinks. I can totally get inside his head with this. And I love it! And Dean and Sam down sick, with Cas there to help.
